Musical Instrument and/or Singing Tuition
We are delighted to offer pupils the opportunity to learn a musical instrument or take singing lessons. Lessons are delivered by a team of visiting teachers. Pupils follow a structured course in technique and repertoire developing their confidence as performers. Learning an instrument or taking singing lessons brings with it a host of additional benefits, including the development of self-esteem, communication skills, co-ordination skills and self-discipline. Participation in co-curricular music encourages the development of social awareness, team building and leadership skills as well as offering opportunities for visiting new places and meeting new people. If you would like your daughter to take instrumental/singing lessons at school, please complete the form by Tuesday 14 September via the link below. The following options are available:

At Streatham and Clapham High School we have introduced a digital strategy that facilitates an any-time, any-place approach to learning. Our aim is to embed technology seamlessly in the learning experience; fostering independence, creativity and digital collaboration between pupils and staff. Therefore, we require all pupils in U3 to bring a properly configured iPad to school each day. This will ensure all pupils have a consistent experience when using digital technology in the classroom.
The school manages all girls’ educational devices centrally so that she has all required apps and software is installed by the school prior to your daughter starting in September, with new apps installed when required by your daughter’s teachers. The school also updates the operating system promptly, which is essential for the security of the device. Her iPad connects automatically to the school network which is subject to robust internet filtering, GDPR protection.
The spec for the SCHS U3 iPad is as follows:
