Like many schools, we offer a confidential counselling service to our students.
Your daughter may contact the counsellor herself if there is something troubling her that she would like to talk about in confidence, or her Head of House may suggest an initial conversation.
Our counsellor is Mrs Carole Small, qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), working within the ethical framework. She is also part of the school’s Pastoral Committee and works closely with us to support our students when appropriate.
Ideally the Counsellor can offer up to 6 individual sessions. Each session will last for approximately 30 minutes.
Counselling is confidential, except if it is in a student’s best interest for the Counsellor to disclose to the safeguarding team or proper authorities, such as in the case of abuse, neglect, or endangerment.
At the start of the year Mrs Small will introduce herself to the students, explain the service and how they can contact her.
