We are proud to announce the launch of our brand-new Design, Technology, Engineering & Innovation (DTEI) Scholarship, created to nurture the brightest young minds passionate about creative problem-solving, design thinking, and future-ready engineering. This specialist scholarship invites students who excel in innovation, technical curiosity, and imaginative design to apply via our admissions portal by Friday, 31 October 2025. Our DTEI Scholars will benefit from a wealth of exciting and exclusive opportunities designed to stretch their skills and ignite their curiosity. From hands-on workshops to active participation in STEM clubs – including the renowned PiWars robotics competition – students are immersed in real-world applications of design and engineering. They will have access to our cutting-edge facilities, including fully equipped workshops, a clean DT design studio, 3D printers, laser cutters, a four-axis CNC milling machine, and a metalwork lathe, allowing them to bring their ideas to life with precision and creativity. Beyond the classroom, our scholars take on vibrant roles within the school community: leading clubs, showcasing their work at exhibitions and mentoring younger pupils with shared interests. More than just a recognition of talent, the DTEI Scholarship is a launchpad for future innovators, designers and technologists to thrive in STEaM fields.
What does the application involve?
Written Submission & Portfolio
Applicants submit a concise (max 350 words) reflection on a product or architectural design they admire, highlighting design, engineering and innovation qualities, alongside visuals of their own creative or technical projects (e.g. sketches, models, prototypes, coded work, 3D prints).
Assessment Workshop & Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be invited on Thursday, 27 November 2025 to attend an immersive workshop featuring design tasks and an interview with the Head of Department.
