At Streatham & Clapham Prep School (SCPS), our co-curricular programme is designed to enrich pupils’ education beyond the classroom. Through a wide variety of activities, from creative arts and sports to clubs and leadership opportunities, pupils can explore their interests, develop new skills and build confidence. These activities complement academic learning, helping to foster well-rounded individuals who are ready to face challenges and thrive in various aspects of life. Our supportive environment encourages every girl to discover her passions and achieve her potential. We offer over 30 diverse clubs and activities, most of which are free of charge providing valuable support for parents by helping to accommodate childcare needs.

Our wide range of extra-curricular activities complement the curriculum and include clubs for art, drama, music, sports and academic interests like coding and chess. Extra-curricular activities provide opportunities for girls to explore new interests, develop leadership skills and form lasting friendships.

Streatham & Clapham High School is proud to be associated with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Pupils in Years 3 to Year 6 can participate in LAMDA classes three days a week, focusing on solo and group acting, as well as public speaking. These lessons help pupils build confidence, develop essential life skills, and enjoy the collaborative nature of drama.

Music is a vital part of the school’s co-curricular offerings. Pupils have the opportunity to learn a wide range of instruments or take singing lessons, guided by a team of visiting teachers. These lessons not only build musical skills but also enhance self-discipline, communication and teamwork. Participation in music fosters social awareness and provides pupils with opportunities to perform, visit new places and meet new people.

Gymnastics

Our Prep school gymnasts have had an impressive year, showcasing their skills and determination in national and regional competitions. With a combination of talent, hard work, and team spirit, our young athletes achieved fantastic results across several events:

U11 Sports Acro British Schools – 4th Place
U11 Sports Acro London Region – 1st Place
U11 English Schools – 2nd Place
U10 English Novice Schools – 5th Place
U9 English Novice Schools – 5th Place
U11 Surrey Schools Sports Acro (A & B Team) – 1st Place
