At Streatham & Clapham High School, every student is valued and nurtured as an individual through a dedicated pastoral system, ensuring both academic success and personal growth. The Director of Sixth Form, Heads of Year 12 and 13, and a team of tutors provide personalised support, maintaining an open-door policy for students to discuss their aspirations. We have a dedicated team of experts to lead on a variety of Higher Education paths, including staff in charge of Oxbridge, International, Medicine and related, degree apprenticeships, Art Foundations, Music Conservatoires, Drama Colleges, Sports Performance, and straight to employment routes.

Through smaller group work, leadership opportunities, and the Friday Lecture Series, students develop confidence, self-discipline and the skills needed to thrive beyond school.

Head’s Blog

We don’t all seek the spotlight, although it’s vital that all children feel seen and are given their time to shine. When I observe lessons, I love how teachers tease out contributions from the girls so that each of them finds their moment to test their understanding, share their interpretations, and debate contrasting views. This week I had the privilege of watching a Year 9 girl perform her first ever music solo, and I hope that each day we are giving girls the chance to try new things, take new risks, and have a go, even when it doesn’t all go to plan.
