Every September, a new Year 7 arrives with the same mix of nerves and excitement. Will I find my way around? Will I make friends? What if I get lost on the way to Science? A few weeks in, most of those worries have quietly disappeared, replaced by a favourite subject, a lunchtime club and a group of friends who feel as though they have always been there.
In this episode of our student podcast, some of our current Senior School students talk honestly about Year 7 at Streatham & Clapham High School. They cover the things prospective families always ask us about, and a few things they don’t think to ask. Hearing it from the students themselves, unscripted, is the best introduction to SCHS we could offer.

The next best thing to hearing about Year 7 is experiencing it. Join us for our Senior School Open Morning on Tuesday 13 October, from 8:40am. You will hear from our Head, Ms Cathy Ellott, tour the school with our current students and meet the teachers who will be looking after your daughter.
If your daughter is in Year 6 now and considering Year 7 entry in September 2027, she can also spend an afternoon with us at one of our 11+ Taster Sessions on Friday 2 or Friday 9 October. She will take part in sample lessons across subjects including Science, English, Music, Mandarin, DT and Sport, and meet other girls who may be starting alongside her. While she does, parents are invited to join a talk with members of our Senior Leadership Team over refreshments. Places are limited, so early booking is recommended.

SCHS celebrates GCSE results
Streatham & Clapham High School is delighted to announce another outstanding set of GCSE results, with almost half of all grades awarded at 9–8 and nearly a quarter of the year group achieving an average of grade 8 or above.
SCHS celebrates A Level results
Our Year 13 students have excelled themselves with the school’s best A Level results since 2017 (excluding the Covid years). A quarter of the girls gained all A*s and As with 42% of all grades at A* – A, up from 33% last year.

We are delighted to celebrate our incredible outgoing Head Girl for receiving the prestigious Mo Bosch scholarship. This GDST award is aimed at Year 13 students planning to pursue degrees in journalism, media, or communications at university and it has a focus on women in leadership and education.
