Uniform

Wearing a Streatham & Clapham High School uniform is a source of pride and honour. The uniform differs between the Prep and the Senior School, but both are bespoke and have been designed to be practical, smart and distinctive. Girls may wear trousers, or a skirt/dress, or alternate between the two. Our sports uniforms are closely associated with the girls’ sporting triumphs both at home and away, and are worn for all PE lessons, training and matches. Sixth Form students adhere to the Sixth Form dress code, which allows for smart-casual, although a suit is required for formal occasions.

In keeping with our ecological values, at the end of the Summer term, many Year 11 students take pleasure in donating the uniforms they no longer need to younger girls. The Friends of SCHS also host pre-loved uniform sales.

The school uniform is supplied by Billings & Edmonds. Representatives attend on advertised days, but uniform may also be purchased from Billings & Edmonds in Chiswick or online. Online orders carry free delivery to the school.

Required for Specialist Subjects (Senior)
– Regulation green overalls for Science, Art and Design & Technology
– Plain black, thick leggings for drama

Jewellery & Grooming
– One plain watch
– One pair of gold or silver lobe stud earrings. No earrings or jewellery is allowed during PE
– Hair should be of a natural colour with an appropriate style. Long hair should be tied back with a plain dark hair tie
– No make-up, nail varnish or false nails should be worn
