At SCHS, we believe in the transformative power of partnerships with schools both nationally and internationally. Today, our pupils experienced this firsthand through an inspiring video call with our partner school, Elpro International School in Pune, India. Together, we worked on an inspiring project titled ‘Healing Humanity’, which focused on sharing ideas across nations and fostering global citizenship.
Our girls from Year 8 and Year 10 created thoughtful presentations on two powerful themes: ‘Women’s Wellbeing’ and ‘The Changing Roles of Women in Society’. This exchange of ideas highlighted the importance of understanding and addressing issues that impact women globally.
Following the project, these pupils have formed our new International Ambassadors group. They will continue working on initiatives that emphasise collaboration, cultural exchange, and global responsibility. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and excited to see how they will champion international projects in the future!
International school partnerships demonstrate the immense value of collaboration. They broaden horizons, inspire empathy, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for diverse cultures. At SCHS, we are proud to lead initiatives that not only enrich the education of our pupils but also make a positive impact on the world around us.
We are also thrilled to announce that we have achieved the prestigious British Council International School Award Accreditation for 2024–2027! This recognition celebrates our commitment to embedding internationalism in education and fostering global connections through innovative projects like ‘Healing Humanity’. It is a testament to the hard work of our staff and pupils, who continue to champion cross-cultural understanding and global citizenship. We look forward to building on this success and expanding our international collaborations in the years ahead!
