On Sunday 13 October, a group of Sixth Form students, Eva, Lola, Mabel, and Betsy, took on the Royal Parks Half Marathon in memory of their much-loved friend, Lucy, who sadly passed away last year. With a special connection to the Neonatal Unit at St George’s, the group chose to raise funds for First Touch in their friend’s honour.
Their determination paid off, as they raised over £5,000, which will greatly support family welfare projects at the unit. A commemorative plaque for Lucy will also be placed at the unit.
A special shout-out goes to Lola, who ran the race on her 18th birthday! We can’t thank this incredible team enough for their amazing efforts!
