Reception Admissions (4+ Entry)
We have one Reception class intake per year, in September. The class is limited to 20 girls.
When can I apply for a Reception place for my daughter?
Girls enter Reception in the September following their 4th birthday. You are welcome to apply any time from birth until the relevant application deadline (please see below) for the intake in which your daughter would join.
Places in Reception are limited and are prioritised for girls that attend Streatham & Clapham Nursery.

Application deadline for September 2023 intake is 18 November 2022
What is the assessment process?
Upon receipt of your application, in the term before she would join us, girls are invited for a 30-minute informal one-to-one assessment with the Head of Early Years.
Your daughter will be engaged in a literacy or mark-making activity, a form of counting or number task and other activities such as jigsaw puzzles, drawing, building or roleplaying.
They are assessed in accordance with the developmental expectations for their age but it is also adapted to suit each individual child. This is an opportunity for us to fully get to know each child and for you to be confident in the choices you are making for your daughter.
By when do I need to accept my place?
After assessment we’ll provide feedback for you and confirm if we are offering your daughter a place for the next intake. In order to secure your place, we require a deposit of £1,000 within 2 weeks of the offer being made. Once the Reception class is full (having reached 20 girls), applicants will be added to our waiting list.
How do I apply?
You’ll need the following to apply:
- A passport photo of your daughter as .jpg or .png (no more than 1MB)
- A copy of passport or birth certificate
- Payment card for £150 registration fee
