We have two sites, Senior School and Prep School. The Senior School is located on a spacious 4-acre site between Balham and Streatham (near Tooting Bec Common), south-west London. The Prep School is located within a few minutes’ walk from Streatham Hill Station and also enjoys extensive outdoor facilities.
Travelling to the School
There are a number of methods of transport that pupils use to travel to the school. Both sites are easily accessible by public transport from many areas in central and south London as well by our extensive school minibus service.
We are committed to being good neighbours and citizens. We encourage travel by sustainable and active transport (Tube, bicycle, bus or walking) as part of promoting a healthy lifestyle and environment.
School Transport Services
Streatham & Clapham High School and Prep School understand that parents have busy lives with significant commitments. We strive to make life easier for you and your family. As part of that, we offer a minibus service to all pupils for journeys to and from school.
Our minibus provider, Vectare, offers eight different routes. Further details are at their dedicated school transport site where you can input your postcode to find your nearest stop.
In line with government direction, all girls are currently required to wear masks covering their noses and mouths whilst riding on the school mini-bus service (as with public transport) until further notice.
Public & Active Transport
We actively promote walking, cycling, the use of school minibus and public transport to travel to and from school. Both the Senior School and the Prep School are well served by both Tube, rail and bus.

If you must travel by private car, please remember always to observe all road traffic markings, including double yellow and zig-zag lines which prohibit parking or stopping at all times of day, no matter what time. We are located in a residential area with the privilege of proximity to the unique ecology of Tooting Bec Common, so we ask you to remember to keep any noise down to a minimum and only run the engine of your vehicle when necessary. Everyone’s time is valuable, so please respect our neighbours’ driveways and access needs. Please travel in one direction and avoid “U” turns in the roads, please drive down and go round the block if you can.
You can download the Code of Conduct for driving to school on our policies and procedures page.
