School Fees

Fees are payable in advance, annually, termly or monthly by direct debit. Fees can be pre-paid for a number of terms, years or for a specific amount. A personalised quotation will be sent on request. The school fees, which are reviewed annually in consultation with the Girls’ Day School Trust, are listed below. Fees cover tuition (other than optional extra subjects), non-residential curriculum trips, textbooks and scientific materials. Lunches, and extra-curricular activities are not currently subject to VAT.

Each application is subject to a non-refundable registration fee. Effective immediately, the non-refundable registration fee will be adjusted to £120 for Nursery and Prep pupils, £180 for Senior pupils (or £240 for overseas applicants), inclusive of VAT.

A deposit of £1,000 is payable on acceptance of a place.  This sum will be held until the end of the pupil’s final term at the school, at which point it will be refunded, less any sums owing to the Trust or SCHS at that time. 

International families are required to pay a deposit equivalent to one full term’s fees upon acceptance of a place. For students requiring Child Student Visa sponsorship, an International Enrolment Fee of £2,700 + VAT is payable in addition to the full term’s fees deposit.

** Nursery fees are exempt from VAT

Every child of Nursery school age is entitled to Early Years funding (please note the child can only receive the funding once they are 3 years old).

Public exam fees are an additional cost based on the number and type of exams taken, and they will be detailed on the summer term invoice. Typically, fees range from £400 to £600 for GCSE pupils and £350 to £500 for A-Level students. Bursary recipients with awards of 50% or more will have their exam fees covered, while those with lower awards will receive a pro-rata reduction.

Streatham & Clapham High School offers means-tested bursaries for 11+ and 16+ entry, covering up to 100% of fees. Applicants must indicate their interest on the application form and achieve high scores in entrance exams. Additionally, 11+ Academic Scholarships provide up to 25% of fees based on exam performance and assessments, while specialist scholarships in Art, Drama, Music, and Sport also offer up to 25% of fees for talented students.
