Entry procedure and requirements for external candidates

We encourage and welcome applications from external candidates, as you have so much to offer our school. Our 16+ new joiners swiftly become a fundamental part of our rich community. Before the school can consider any candidate for entry, the application form must be completed and submitted, together with:

  • a non-refundable registration fee of £150 (£175 for overseas applicants)
  • a current photograph
  • a copy of her end-of-year 10 and latest Year 11 report with predicted GCSE grades (when available)
  • a copy of her passport (or birth certificate if no passport is held)

All external candidates are required to sit a general paper. In addition, those seeking an academic scholarship must also complete a subject-specific paper in their chosen subject. It’s important to note that external sixth form applicants are not automatically considered for academic scholarships; they need to express their interest by indicating this on their registration form. Furthermore, candidates must fill out a distinct scholarship form, which includes a personal statement, as they do for all scholarship applications.

Please complete the online Application Form, which should be submitted before Thursday 31 October 2024 for any applications which indicate an interest in a bursary place or specialist scholarship application.
