STEM success | Streatham & Clapham High School

Pupils are celebrating this week’s clean sweep of success for our winning finalists at the GDST #700 STEM writing competition. We had three girls representing SCHS in the Mathematics and Technology categories in their age groups, all of whom gained first place, an excellent achievement and well-deserved! The prizes were presented by some inspirational judges from the aeronautical, bioengineering and financial industries and they were blown away by the stan¬dard of writing from all the finalists. Congratulations from the Mathematics and Science department to the following girls: Kiki – 1st place, U16 Mathematics category for her essay titled Magic 9, Joely – 1st place U18 Mathematics category for her essay titled Magic, Madness, Maths: A curious Challenge; Emma 1st place, U18 Technology category for her essay titled The Impact of Innovative Materials on the Built Environment and its Sustainability. #womeninSTEM
