Streatham & Clapham Alumna Publishes ‘Vital Exploration of the Lived Experience of Racism’

Professor Nicola Rollock, SCHS Class of ’91, recently held a book launch for her first solo publication The Racial Code: Tales of Resistance and Survival, within which she ‘lays bare the pain and cost of navigating everyday racism – and compels us to reconsider how to truly achieve racial justice’.

Speaking at SCHS for International Women’s Day 2018

Professor Rollock, whose photo hangs proudly in the Ellis Hall alongside other notable alumnae, has written for the Guardian, the FT and Vogue. She is Professor of Social Policy & Race at King’s College London and is Distinguished Fellow, Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge.

The Racial Code is available now from Penguin Books and we have copies (one signed) available to borrow in the school library.
