The wonderful food service our girls enjoy at both the Prep and Senior School is provided by Thomas Franks Catering who last weekend borrowed our kitchens to prepare hundreds of meals for NHS staff working in the Nightingale Hospital in London. They then delivered the fresh and nutritious meals, free of charge, to the NHS frontline workers as they completed their shift – saving exhausted medical professionals from having to trek to the shops and cook after they’ve spent long hours caring for patients. The meals are prepared, cooked and packaged in our Senior School kitchen, which our own staff opened and are maintaining to enable this project. Familiar faces in the SCHS community including Thomas Franks’ chef Jacqui, who runs the Prep dining operation, are volunteering with cooking and food preparation. The meals are then transported in chilled vans and taken to the Excel Centre.
