Towards Wisdom Unafraid – Speech Day Sets Tone for the New Academic Year

Prominent anti-fraud lawyer and SCHS governor, Ruth Bailey-Packard, kicked off the Speech Day prize-giving by sharing her story of how a path which included 4 am singing gigs in Paris and stints in the City, revealed her true vocation for prosecuting white-collar criminals. Encouraging the girls  to embrace new opportunities and challenges that develop courage and resilience, Mrs Bailey-Packard told the girls: “If you pursue your passions and [are not]  afraid to fail…you will flourish”.

Prizes rewarding qualities such as Resilience, Fearlessness, Spirited Endeavour, Collaboration & Teamwork and Creativity were awarded to girls from L4 to U6 along with other trophies for Academic Achievement, Leadership and Community Contribution.
