Year 4 travelled back in time for World War Two Creative Day. Instead of SCPS pupils, the classrooms were filled with Land Girls, evacuees, soldiers and even ‘Cher Ami’, a carrier pigeon owned by the U.S. Army Signal Corps who is thought to have saved more than 190 lives.

Through role play exercises and drama activities, the girls explored what life would have been like for children living in London during the Second World War. They also cracked Morse Code, made their own propaganda posters, and learnt how the role of women changed during the war.
