Rebecca Kent, artist, art educator, and GDST alumna, took up residence in her new studio space in the Prep School. Sharing expertise and inspiration as a professional artist with our Prep girls, Ms Kent will create art side-by-side with school’s pupils in our dedicated art facilities.
Ms Emily Gopaul, Prep Head of Art, explains ‘This is such a wonderful opportunity for the students to benefit from seeing a ‘real life artist’ at work, alongside their own art practice.’
‘My work primarily concerns stillness, the voice, and the landscape. Within this busy, chaotic world I make work that encourages viewers to slow down, embrace the stillness and find their own inner silence.’
